1. holiday 常用语，指规定的节假日，也可指学校的假期，可长可短，但表示较长的时间常用复数。

2. vacation 与holiday相近，单复数均可，多用于美国，在英国着重指大学的假期或法定的假期。

3. leave 不可数名词，主要指雇员因有某种理由而获准的休假，也指军队、政府、机关等的休假。
