1. far 意为“非常；远远；大大地”， 常用在比较级之前，其后不用冠词；与too及形容词、副词原级连用，意为“太/过于”。

2. by far 意为“...得多”， 一般多用在最高级和比较级之前，最高级和比较级前加定冠词the；当用于比较级之后时，比较级前不带冠词。

3. so far 意为“到目前为止”， 常和现在完成时连用。
